Sekihan Red Bean and Wheat Barley Rice (もち麦入り赤飯)
Sekihan (赤飯) is a traditional Japanese dish made from glutinous rice and red beans, often eaten on special occasions. This version is enriched with もち麦 (mochi mugi / Japanese wheat barley) for a richer texture and improved nutritional value.
This mix is made from 100% Japanese ingredients: red beans from Hokkaido, black rice from Kyushu, glutinous rice and Japanese rice, as well as "Kirari Mochi" wheat barley, known for its quality and high fiber content.
The natural red color of sekihan comes directly from the pigments of the red beans and black rice, with no added coloring, for an authentic and traditional result.
Thanks to the addition of wheat barley, this sekihan allows for a natural intake of dietary fiber while retaining the traditional taste of the Japanese dish.
The product is manufactured with complete control over the production chain, from barley processing to packaging, ensuring consistent quality and a mild taste without bitterness.
